Ice cream shops in Budapest suck!!!!

But not every ice cream shop obviously.
It was a nice sunny day. Me and my friends were walking through the streets of Buda and visited all the nice places. Fisherman’s bastion, Buda castle, Matthias Church, the Buda Hill Funicular etc. After a long morning of walking, we thought we deserved a little sweet treat. Time for ice cream!!! At a 15-minute walk, there was a nice shop with a 4.9 rating on Google Maps. Off we went. When we arrived, we already saw they didn’t have any nice flavours. That’s too bad. One of us had to go to the toilet while the others decided what kind of flavour we wanted. In the meantime, another couple went ahead of us and it got worse because we saw that the scoops were very small. Hmm… this place is not for us. When our friend got off the toilet, we politely said we were leaving. And here is where it goes wrong… The ice cream scooper started to yell that only customers were able to use the toilet so we had to buy something. That was not so nice, but we were in a kind mood, so we bought a very overpriced cola. We left the ice cream shop with a bad feeling, because the worker was so extremely rude, even when we bought a drink. Because I am petty I left a bad review saying: ‘Woman working here is a bit rude and the scoops are very small, not worth the price’. We then continued our day and had a peaceful night of sleep (no, we did not, but that had to do with the unlimited booze cruise we did twice (story for another time)).
The next day, I woke up and saw I had a notification from Google Maps. And yes, it was a reaction from the ice cream shop!!! Waaaa sensa! They reacted this exact thing: ‘You used (3 people) our toilette without buying anything, not even a single scoop. We think that’s rude too. Being rude is always a point a view. Have a lovely day! I felt my heart beating in my chest; how dare they say this??? How dare they belittle us when we were so kind the whole time??!!! (I can already hear you think: hmm privileged child, I think you might be the problem - and while I acknowledge that this is an extremely privileged rant, we were absolutely not the problem here). No but seriously, why are they saying all three of us used their toilet, while it was just one person and why are they saying we didn’t buy anything, because we clearly did after they told us we had too???
After having a good hungover breakfast and being fuelled by lots of shopping, I crafted the perfect response back: ‘this is not true, while we were waiting in line one of us used the toilet. We then saw the scoops were small, so we politely said we were leaving. You then yelled at us that only customers can use the toilet, so we waited and still bought something. Please do not take this out of perspective.’ Mind you, if you want to react to a reaction, you have to adjust your initial review, so that is exactly what I did. They then deleted their response (WIN). Okay that was my rant.
We should have just walked away after they said we had to buy something, they did not deserve our time and money.
